Japanese games played a big role in gaming industry, and being pioneer industry also means that they have a lot of games… exclusive to themselves. Here are many games that we longed for English translations, and hopefully the game developers have a change of heart, and give us the game that we always wanted.
Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Release Date: June 27 2013
A remake of Digimon World, who doesn’t wanna play this? Digimon World is probably the best Digimon game ever made, and a remake would totally rock the 3DS console. Till today we still don’t understand why Bandai Namco release this game in English.
Digimon Adventure
Platform: PlayStation Portable
Release Date: January 13 2013
A game based on the original anime series (IMO the best Digimon series). A must try game, very story intensive (which means you’ll enjoy it more if you understand the language).
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth
Platform: PlayStation Vita
Release Date: 2015
This game is not released yet, but I do foresee gamers outside of Japan won’t have a chance to play an official translated version of this game.
Rise of Mana
Platform: iOS, Android, PlayStation Vita
Release Date: 2014
A fan of the Mana Series? This is their latest installment, and sadly it’s only in Japan.
Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village G
Platform: PSP
Release Date: August 10 2011
A Felyne version of the Patapon game, but you get to do more stuff in the village! Over the years, Capcom have done some amazing spin off of Monster Hunter Series, and this is one of them. Sadly for gamers outside of Japan, this game will not be translated.
Monster Hunter Massive Hunting
Platform: iOS, Android
Release Date: February 2013
An upgraded version of Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting – Japan only.
Monster Hunter Explore
Platform: iOS, Android
Release Date: 2015
This game is not released yet. Monster Hunter Explore will be more focused on exploring the map, finding ancient artifacts, and stories and cultures of the Monster Hunter world. I don’t think Capcom plan to publish this game outside of Japan.
Monster Hunter Mezeporta Reclamation
Platform: PC Browser
Release Date: November 27 2014
From the looks of the the game can be very interesting. Too bad we don’t understand how the game works.
3rd Super Robot Wars Z
Platform: PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita
Release Date: 2014
Super Robot Wars Series, lovely robots from different games, anime merged into one ultimate robot game. Throughout the series, not even a single game has been translated to English. Perhaps too many copy rights involved?
That’s it folks, this is only MY list of games that should be translated to English. If you have a list of it please drop us a comment and tell us about it.
Honestly I think it’ll be easier for us to learn Japanese instead of waiting for the English version. Do drop us a message if you’d like to go to a Japanese class together, I am done waiting! (It’s about time for us to learn Japanese too!)
